In 2006, Miles for Moffitt held its first event on the campus of the University of South Florida (USF) to raise money for cancer research at Moffitt Cancer Center. The race started a tradition that has made this a signature fundraiser vital to helping Moffitt researchers in the their quest to help prevent and cure cancer.
